International Lasallian Days

We Are Bridges for Peace: From Conflict to Connection As the world grows increasingly complex, divided, and in need of healing, the call to be instruments of peace has never been louder. This year’s International Lasallian Days for Peace (ILDP), held from September 21 to October 21, 2025, invites us to take that call to heart through the theme: “We Are Bridges for Peace: From Conflict to Connection.” A Season of Reflection and Action Launched by the Lasallian Commission on Youth, ILDP 2025 is more than just a campaign. It is a month-long journey of reflection, dialogue, and meaningful action rooted in the conviction that peace begins with connection. Inspired by this year’s Lasallian Reflection, “All is Connected,” the initiative challenges us to see beyond differences and divisions and to embrace our shared humanity. Throughout the ILDP season, Lasallians worldwide will engage in weekly activities designed to foster dialogue, empathy, and concrete peace-building within local communities. From classroom discussions to community events, each activity is a stepping stone toward healing the fractures that exist in society today. A Global Kickoff: Let’s Talk…Lasallian This year’s celebration begins with a global online conversation—“Let’s Talk…Lasallian”—on September 22, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM (Rome Time). The virtual event will provide a space for voices across the Lasallian world to share stories, challenges, and visions of peace. Participants are encouraged to register and join this unique exchange of hope and solidarity. Register here for “Let’s Talk…Lasallian” Lessons from Presence and Empathy At the International Gathering of Young Lasallians during the Youth Jubilee 2025, Br. Armin Luistro FSC reminded us of the sacredness of human connection. He told the story of Sergio, a child whose quiet embrace carried more meaning than words—a simple yet powerful reminder that true peace often begins with presence, empathy, and small acts of love. These gestures, though seemingly ordinary, are the seeds of transformation. They remind us that peace is not abstract—it is lived in every interaction, every choice to listen rather than ignore, and every decision to include rather than exclude. Becoming Bridges for Peace The theme “We Are Bridges for Peace” is not just symbolic—it is a call to action. To be a bridge is to: Connect lives: Building relationships across boundaries of culture, faith, and identity. Mend divisions: Choosing reconciliation over resentment, dialogue over silence. Stand for justice: Listening to the cries of the marginalized and acting with courage. Walk with others in hope: Accompanying people on the path to healing and renewal. As followers of Jesus and St. John Baptist de La Salle, we are urged to embody fraternity, service, and solidarity. In a world that often thrives on separation and polarization, being a bridge means becoming both dreamers and doers—individuals willing to envision peace and take bold steps to make it real. Why It Matters Now Wars, conflicts, and divisions dominate headlines daily. Yet, ILDP reminds us that the work of peace begins with us—in our schools, neighborhoods, and communities. The campaign’s activities are not distant ideals; they are practical pathways to build a culture of peace through dialogue, empathy, and action. As Br. Armin so powerfully stated: “The world has always been shaped by dreamers.” Now is the time to dream of peace—and to work together to make it possible. Join the Movement From September 21 to October 21, 2025, let us commit to being bridges of connection and hope. Whether through engaging in ILDP activities, joining the global conversation, or taking small yet powerful steps in our daily lives, each of us has a role to play. Together, let us transform conflict into connection, division into unity, and fear into hope

Inaugural Networking Event

🌟 Sharing of the Lasallian Dream: Laying the Foundation for La Salle College Inaugural Networking Event – La Salle Catholic School, Karen | July 29, 2025 ✨ A Historic Beginning On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, history was made at La Salle Catholic School, Karen, when the Lasallian community gathered for the inaugural networking event: “Sharing of the Lasallian Dream.”This was no ordinary gathering—it was a call to unite hearts, minds, and resources toward one common goal: the establishment of La Salle College. The evening began with warmth and anticipation as Brothers, educators, alumni, parents, partners, and friends arrived, ready to share in a vision that transcends classrooms and speaks to the very soul of Lasallian education. From the very first moment, it was clear that this event was about more than just plans; it was about building a future of faith, excellence, and service together. 🙏 Anchored in Faith The event’s official program opened with a Welcome and Prayer led by Bro. Paulos Mesmer, grounding the gathering in gratitude and faith. His words reminded participants that every step in this journey must be guided by God’s providence. Following this, Bro. Betre Fisseha and Bro. Dennis Lee offered heartfelt opening remarks, setting the tone for the evening. They highlighted how the Lasallian mission has always been about more than education—it is about forming individuals who live with compassion, integrity, and service at the heart of their lives. Their message was clear: the dream of La Salle College is not just about buildings and books—it’s about shaping futures, transforming communities, and serving humanity. 💬 Stories that Inspire Personal stories often speak louder than plans, and this truth came alive through the testimonials of Mr. Robert Mwai and Ms. Veronica Ingolan. Mr. Mwai spoke passionately about how the Lasallian approach to education instilled discipline, resilience, and purpose in his own journey. Ms. Ingolan shared movingly about the transformative opportunities provided by Lasallian schools—opportunities that opened doors and ignited hope. These testimonials painted a living picture of the Lasallian impact: ordinary students becoming extraordinary leaders, shaped by education rooted in care, faith, and inclusivity. Their experiences underscored why the creation of La Salle College is not only urgent but necessary—because there are countless more young people waiting for the same chance. 🎓 The Dream: La Salle College The centerpiece of the evening was the unveiling of the vision for La Salle College, presented by Bro. Paulos Mesmer. He described the college as more than an academic institution—it is envisioned as a beacon of holistic education that integrates academic excellence with moral formation, leadership development, and spiritual grounding. La Salle College will become a hub where young men and women are prepared not only to succeed in their professions but also to become leaders with a conscience, committed to serving society. The presentation highlighted how the college would build on the Lasallian legacy of providing quality education to all, especially the marginalized, ensuring that no child is left behind. Bro. Paulos invited everyone present to become active partners in bringing this vision to life. 🤝 A Call to Partnership The session on Resource Mobilization, led by Mr. Lorcan Barnes, Ms. Denise Jones, and Ms. Lucy Njue, underscored one powerful truth: dreams are realized through partnership. They emphasized that every form of support matters—from financial contributions to expertise, from mentorship programs to strategic collaborations. They also shared practical ways that donors, alumni, and institutions can contribute, highlighting how each partnership adds a brick to the foundation of La Salle College. The call to action was clear: if you believe in education, if you believe in empowering youth, then this is your moment to make a difference. 💙 3 Ways You Can Support the Lasallian Dream 1️⃣ Make a Contribution Every gift, big or small, brings us closer to building La Salle College. Voices from the community echoed a strong commitment: this is our dream, and we will build it together. From suggestions on curriculum design to fundraising ideas, the dialogue reaffirmed the belief that La Salle College will not only be built by Lasallians but also for the wider society it serves. 🙌 A Grateful Closing The evening closed with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from Bro. Oscar Ojwang, who expressed deep gratitude to everyone present for their time, generosity, and spirit of collaboration. His words captured the collective feeling: hope, excitement, and determination.
